Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti) - 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and dried thyme, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Toss the cooked pasta in the skillet with the creamy mushroom sauce until well coated.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
