Ingredients:
- 300g pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 200g mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir well and let it thicken for about 3-4 minutes.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
