Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
4. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet and stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
