Ingredients:
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the sauce.
