A moist chocolate banana bread that deliciously combines bananas and cocoa. This bread is perfect as a snack or dessert! Preparation Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Serving Size: 10 slices
Ingredients:
- 5 ripe bananas
- 125 g room temperature butter
- 1 1/2 dl brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 dl sour cream
- 1/2 dl cream
- 4 3/4 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 dl unsweetened dark cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Peel 4 bananas and mash them with a fork.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter and brown sugar thoroughly.
3. Add the eggs and mix well.
4. Stir in sour cream, cream, and the mashed bananas until smooth.
5. In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla sugar, and salt. Add this mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until the batter is smooth.
6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
7. Peel the last banana, slice it lengthwise, and place the halves on top of the batter.
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
