A simple and flavorful pasta dish made with fresh tomatoes and basil. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes soften and start to release their juices.
4. Season with salt and black pepper, stirring well to combine.
5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the sauce.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped basil.
7. Serve warm, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
