A simple and delicious pasta dish featuring fresh tomatoes and fragrant basil.

Ingredients:
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes and red pepper flakes (if using), cooking for 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the tomato mixture, mixing well to combine.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped basil.
7. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
