A simple and flavorful pasta dish with fresh tomatoes and fragrant basil.

Ingredients:
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes soften and release their juices.
4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine with the tomato mixture.
5. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
