Ingredients:
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften and release their juices.
4. Season the tomato mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine with the tomato sauce.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped basil.
7. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
