Classic Tomato Basil Pasta

Ingredients:
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they soften.
4. Toss in the cooked spaghetti and mix well to combine.
5. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
