Recipe:
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 5 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the tomatoes and garlic. Add the chopped basil and mix well.
5. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
