Ingredients:

- 400g spaghetti
- 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add diced tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until they start to soften.
4. Stir in the cooked spaghetti, reserved pasta water, and chopped basil. Toss to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
