Ingredients:
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes are softened.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the tomato mixture. Add the torn basil leaves and toss everything together until well combined.
5. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
