Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 400g canned diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
3. Add the canned diced tomatoes and oregano to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the tomato sauce, mixing well to coat the pasta evenly.
5. Serve the pasta hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
