Ingredients:
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the cherry tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes have softened and released their juices.
4. Stir in the cooked spaghetti and chopped basil, mixing well to combine all ingredients.
5. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and extra basil if desired.
