Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 g chocolate chips
- 300 g black currants
- 200 ml cream
- 200 g fondant
- 50 g chocolate cream
- Edible gloss spray
- Edible gold glitter dust
- Water for brushing
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a saucepan over low heat. Allow to cool slightly.
2. Whisk the sugar and eggs in a bowl until fluffy. Add the cooled chocolate mixture and mix well.
3. Combine the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder) and add to the batter. Fold in the chocolate chips.
4. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 30-35 minutes. Let it cool.
5. Prepare the black currant mousse: Blend the black currants and mix with the cream. Chill in the refrigerator.
6. Once the cake has cooled, slice it into three layers and fill each layer with black currant mousse.
7. Spread chocolate cream over the top and sides of the cake.
8. Roll out the fondant and carefully cover the cake. Shape fondant into Chanel handbag details.
9. Use a brush and water to create a glossy finish on the cake. Allow to dry in the refrigerator.
10. Spray the top of the cake with edible gloss spray and finish with edible gold glitter dust.
