Ingredients:
- 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
