A delicious and elegant beef carpaccio seasoned with fresh herbs. Perfect as an appetizer or a light main course. Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serving size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- Fresh thyme, chopped
- Fresh basil, chopped
- 300 g beef tenderloin or fillet
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Olive oil
- Sea salt
- Black pepper
Instructions:
1. Chop the fresh thyme and basil.
2. Lay a sheet of plastic wrap on a flat surface large enough to wrap the meat.
3. Sprinkle the chopped herbs evenly over the plastic wrap.
4. Add sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper over the herbs.
5. Place the beef on top of the seasoned herbs in the center of the plastic wrap.
6. Fold the plastic wrap around the meat, ensuring it is in contact with the herbs and spices.
7. Refrigerate the wrapped meat for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
8. Remove the meat from the fridge, unwrap it, and slice it thinly.
9. Arrange the slices on a plate, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and drizzle with olive oil.
