Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 large cabbage - 400 g ground beef (or chicken)
- 1 dl rice
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 can (400 g) tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions:
1. Cook the rice according to package instructions and let it cool.2. Boil the cabbage leaves in hot water for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft. Drain and let them cool.
3. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic in oil in a pan until softened.
4. In a bowl, mix the ground meat, cooked rice, sautéed onion and garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and oregano.
5. Take one cabbage leaf and place about a tablespoon of filling in the center. Fold in the edges and roll tightly to form a roll.
6. Place the rolls in a baking dish and pour the tomato sauce over them.
7. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 30 minutes.
