This delicious chicken pie is a perfect meal for both everyday and festive occasions. Combine seasoned chicken strips, vegetables, and a creamy filling, and enjoy a melt-in-your-mouth pie! Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 2.5 dl heavy cream
- ½ pack of mixed peas, corn, and bell peppers
- 100 g butter or margarine
- 300 g seasoned chicken strips
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2.5 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 onion
- Pizza seasoning, chicken seasoning, and garlic to taste
- Grated cheese
Instructions:
1. Mix the butter and flour together until crumbly.
2. Add water and knead until you have a smooth dough.
3. Press the dough into a greased pie dish, covering the bottom and sides.
4. Bake the crust at 200°C (392°F) for about 10 minutes.
5. Sauté the onion in a pan, then add the chicken strips and cook until the chicken is done.
6. Stir in the mixed vegetables, heavy cream, eggs, sweet chili sauce, and seasonings. Mix well.
7. Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
8. Bake the pie in the oven for another 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
