A delicious chicken pie perfect for both everyday meals and special occasions, filled with honey-marinated chicken strips and fresh peppers, all enveloped in a crispy crust. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 container sour cream
- ½ dl water
- 3 dl all-purpose flour
- A handful of blue cheese grated
- ½ package chili cream cheese
- Red and green bell pepper, chopped
- 100 g margarine
- 400 g honey-marinated chicken strips
- 1 egg
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the margarine and all-purpose flour together until crumbly.
2. Add salt, water, and the egg into the mixture and mix until smooth.
3. Place the dough in the refrigerator to rest for a moment.
4. Cook the chicken strips in a pan until fully cooked.
5. Add chili cream cheese and chopped bell peppers to the pan, and mix well.
6. Take the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out to fit a pie dish.
7. Line the pie dish with the dough and pour the filling on top.
8. Sprinkle the grated blue cheese over the filling.
9. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
