A delicious salad that combines sweet apples with tender sautéed liver. Perfect for your fall table. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 large apples- 300 g liver (e.g., beef or chicken)
- 4 dl mixed salad greens (e.g., arugula, iceberg lettuce)
- 1 red onion
- 1 dl walnuts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Start by cooking the liver. Cut the liver into bite-sized pieces and sauté in olive oil until cooked through and nicely browned. Season with salt and pepper. Let it cool.2. Slice the apples into wedges and thinly slice the red onion.
3. In a large bowl, combine the salad greens, apples, red onion, and walnuts.
4. Prepare the dressing by mixing olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss well.
5. Top with the sautéed liver pieces and serve immediately.
