Serving Size: 2 sandwiches
Ingredients:
- Whole grain bread or ciabatta
- Slices of mortadella
- Cheese (e.g., provolone or mozzarella)
- Fresh basil
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
1. Cut the whole grain bread or ciabatta in half.
2. Layer a generous amount of mortadella slices on the bottom half of the bread.
3. Add slices of cheese on top of the mortadella.
4. Sprinkle fresh basil over the cheese.
5. Drizzle a bit of olive oil on top.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Cover with the other half of the bread and grill in a pan until the cheese melts and the bread is golden brown.
8. Cut the sandwich into pieces and serve warm.
