Ingredients

- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp fresh minced ginger
- 2 finely chopped onions
- 1 tbsp crushed coriander seeds
- 1 small can of coconut milk or heavy cream
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped (seeds removed)
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1.5 tsp turmeric
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 3 finely chopped garlic cloves

Instructions

1. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are soft and golden brown.
3. Stir in the ginger, garlic, chili powder, salt, cumin, turmeric, and coriander seeds. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the spices become fragrant.
4. Add the chopped green chilies and crushed tomatoes. Mix well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
5. Pour in the coconut milk or heavy cream and stir. Allow it to cook on low heat for another 10-15 minutes until the curry thickens.
6. Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
