Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is done, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, adding a little reserved pasta water if necessary to create a light sauce.
7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
8. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
