Traditional Meatballs

Description: These juicy meatballs are the perfect addition to pasta or potato dishes. They are easy to make and loved by the whole family. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4
Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef (or pork)
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
- 1 dl milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil for frying
- 1 dl tomato sauce (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let the mixture soak for about 5 minutes.
2. To the soaked mixture, add the ground meat, onion, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, and parsley. Mix well by hand or with a spoon.
3. Shape the mixture into approximately 20 small meatballs.
4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the meatballs for about 10-15 minutes, until they are nicely browned and cooked through.
5. If desired, add the tomato sauce to the skillet and let it heat with the meatballs before serving.
