Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- 200 g smoked salmon
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 100 ml fresh dill, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Grated lemon zest (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a little pasta water.
2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and crushed garlic, sauté for a few minutes until soft.
3. Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
4. Add the smoked salmon in chunks and the chopped dill. Stir gently to avoid breaking the salmon too much.
5. Season with salt and black pepper. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a bit of reserved pasta water.
6. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce and heat for a short while.
7. Serve with grated lemon zest if desired.
