Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
3. Add the sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, stirring to combine after each addition.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the batter, mixing until smooth.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and level the surface.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through. Test for doneness with a toothpick.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or top with chocolate frosting.
