Ingredients:
- 200 g spaghetti
- 100 g bacon or pancetta
- 2 eggs
- 50 g Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and reserve a little cooking water.
2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the bacon or pancetta. Cook until crispy.
3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for one minute.
4. In a bowl, crack the eggs and add grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with bacon and garlic. Toss quickly to combine.
6. Pour the egg mixture over the spaghetti and stir quickly to cook the eggs with the residual heat, avoiding scrambling.
7. If needed, add reserved cooking water to create a creamy texture.
8. Season with salt and black pepper. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
