Deliciously combines the flavor of orange with dark chocolate, making it a perfect treat for your coffee table.
Preparation Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Serving Size: Approximately 12 pieces
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 2 dl brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- Zest and juice of 1 orange
- 150 g dark chocolate
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 3 1/2 dl all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
2. Cream the room temperature butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition.
4. Grate the zest of the orange and squeeze its juice. Add both to the batter.
5. In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar) together and then incorporate them into the batter.
6. Mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.
7. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
