A tribute to Bishop Mikael Agricola and his traditions, this delightful dinner is perfect for celebrating Agricola Day and Finnish language day. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4
Ingredients:
- 400 g chicken fillets- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 200 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 200 ml cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 100 g grated cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.2. Add chopped onion and crushed garlic. Sauté until the onions are soft.
3. Add chicken fillets to the pan and cook until they are golden brown.
4. Add bell pepper and mushrooms to the pan. Cook for a few more minutes.
5. Pour cream into the pan and season with salt, black pepper, and thyme. Mix well.
6. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes, until it thickens.
7. Sprinkle grated cheese over the sauce and let it melt.
8. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
