Delicious soft gingerbread cookies that bring the festive spirit to your holiday table or make a perfect gift for friends. These cookies are infused with traditional Christmas spices and are easy to make.

Ingredients:

- 200 g butter
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 5 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl powdered sugar (for decoration)

Instructions:

1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat and add the sugar and syrup. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
2. Add cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and baking soda to the saucepan. Mix well.
3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
4. Gradually add the flour to the mixture and stir until smooth.
5. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
6. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 0.5 cm thick.
8. Cut shapes from the dough using cookie cutters and transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
9. Bake the cookies in the oven for about 8-10 minutes or until they are slightly browned.
10. Let the cookies cool and then decorate with powdered sugar.
