A beautiful and delicious Laskiaispullakakku that combines traditional flavors in a modern form. Easy to prepare and customizable to your taste!
Preparation Time: 1 hour + rising time
Serving Size: 8-10 servings

Ingredients:

- 2 ½ dl milk
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 egg
- 7-8 dl all-purpose flour
- 100 g melted butter

Filling:

- 250 g mascarpone cheese
- 1 dl lemon curd
- 0.5 dl salmiakki sauce
- 100 g marshmallows
- Jam (e.g., raspberry or strawberry)
- 2 dl whipped cream

Instructions:

1. Warm the milk until it is lukewarm and dissolve the yeast in it.
2. Add sugar, salt, cardamom, and the egg. Mix well.
3. Gradually add flour and knead the dough until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
4. Add melted butter and knead the dough for another 5-10 minutes.
5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30-45 minutes, until it has doubled in size.
6. Shape the dough into one large bun and place it in a springform pan. Let it rise for another 15-20 minutes.
7. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is a beautiful golden brown.
8. Allow the cake to cool before filling.
9. Carefully slice the cake in half and fill it with mascarpone, lemon curd, salmiakki sauce, and marshmallows.
10. Add jam and whipped cream as desired. Close the cake and decorate if you wish.
