Ingredients:
- 1 liter red wine
- 200 ml water
- 100 g sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 5-6 cloves
- 1 star anise
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Zest of 1 orange
- 100 g raisins
- 100 g almond slivers (optional)
Instructions:
1. Pour the red wine and water into a pot.
2. Add the sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, lemon zest, and orange zest.
3. Heat the mixture over low heat until it begins to steam, but do not let it boil.
4. Allow the glögg to steep for about 20 minutes to blend the flavors well.
5. Add the raisins and almond slivers to the glögg before serving.
6. Strain the glögg into glasses and serve warm.
