Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 120 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat.
3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar and eggs until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4. Add the melted chocolate-butter mixture to the egg mixture and mix well.
5. Sift in the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt, then gently fold until all ingredients are combined.
6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the cake is cooked but still slightly moist in the center.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or top with chocolate frosting.
