Delicate and soft cheese doughnuts filled with raspberry jam. The perfect treat for May Day or other celebrations.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: About 12 doughnuts
Ingredients:
- 250 g quark
- 1 egg
- 100 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 100 ml raspberry jam (for filling)
- 1 liter oil (for frying)
- powdered sugar (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the quark, egg, sugar, and vanilla sugar until well combined.
2. Gradually add the baking powder and all-purpose flour to the mixture until it becomes smooth and elastic.
3. Shape the dough into small balls or rings.
4. Create a small hole in some of the balls and fill them with raspberry jam.
5. Heat the oil in a deep pan.
6. Fry the doughnuts in the oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
7. Remove the doughnuts and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil, then sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
