A delicious and traditional dessert that combines layers of creamy milk pudding and sweet berries. This recipe is easy to prepare and perfect for celebrations or a sweet treat any day. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 0.5 dl diluted red juice
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 0.5 l milk
- 1 egg
- 2.5 dl frozen berries
- Cornstarch (for thickening)
- Fruit sugar (to taste)
- 1 vanilla bean
Instructions:
1. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, pour in the cold milk. Split the vanilla bean in half and scrape the seeds into the milk, adding the bean pod as well.
2. Add fruit sugar, the egg, and cornstarch to the milk. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined.
3. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until it begins to thicken.
4. Once the pudding has thickened, remove the saucepan from the heat and discard the vanilla bean pod.
5. In a separate pan, prepare the frozen berries: thaw them and sweeten if desired by adding cornstarch and sugar.
6. Assemble the servings: start with a layer of pudding, then add a layer of berries, and repeat the layers until the ingredients are used up. Finish with a layer of berries on top.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
