Ingredients:

- 1 half loaf of bread (e.g., baguette or ciabatta)
- 100 g cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
- 100 g ham or other meat
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 red onion
- 1 tbsp pesto or mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (e.g., basil or parsley)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
2. Cut the half loaf of bread open and remove some of the inner bread to make space for the fillings.
3. Spread pesto or mayonnaise on the inside of the bread.
4. Add cheese, ham, sliced tomato, and onion on top of the bread.
5. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs.
6. Close the loaf and place it on a baking sheet.
7. Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
8. Allow to cool briefly, cut into portions, and enjoy!
