A delicious and exotic pizza that combines tropical flavors with a crispy crust. This recipe is easy to make and perfect for sharing with friends. Preparation time: 1 hour
Serving size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients for the pizza dough:
- 1 1/4 cups warm water - 1/2 packet active dry yeast
- 5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
Toppings (choose your favorites):
- 7 oz tomato sauce - 7 oz shredded cheese
- 5 oz pineapple (fresh or canned)
- 3.5 oz ham or chicken (optional)
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, sliced
Instructions:
1. Warm the water until it's lukewarm, then dissolve the yeast in it. 2. Add the salt, canola oil, and chili powder to the water mixture.
3. Gradually add the flour and knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
5. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
6. Roll out the dough on a baking sheet and spread the tomato sauce evenly over it.
7. Sprinkle the shredded cheese, then add pineapple, ham/chicken, bell pepper, and onion on top.
8. Bake the pizza in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
