Crispy French Fries
Crispy French Fries
recipe
Crispy French fries are the perfect addition to any meal. They are crunchy, salty, and easy to make. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into long, thin strips. 2. Soak the potato strips in cold water for about 10 minutes. This removes excess starch and helps achieve a crispy texture.
3. Drain the potatoes and dry them thoroughly with paper towels.
4. Place the potatoes in a bowl and add olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well to ensure the spices coat the potatoes evenly.
5. Spread the potato strips evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake at 200 °C (400 °F) for about 20-25 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy. Turn the potatoes halfway through the baking time.
7. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
