A delicious Indonesian dish that combines sweet soy sauce, chili, and ginger for a flavorful experience that transports you to Indonesia. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 250 g tempeh - 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cm ginger, grated
- 1-2 fresh chilies, chopped (to taste)
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp sugar (e.g., cane sugar)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cut the tempeh into small cubes.2. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, ginger, and chili. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
3. Add the tempeh to the pan and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the sweet soy sauce, lime juice, and sugar. Mix well and let simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Season with salt to taste and serve garnished with fresh coriander.
