A refreshing and zesty lemonade perfect for hot summer days. This drink is easy to prepare and makes a great addition to any gathering.Preparation Time: 30 minutes + cooling time
Serving Size: about 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 ½ cups water - 1 ½ - 2 cups sugar
- 4 lemons
- A few lemon balm leaves
- 2 cups sparkling water
Instructions:
1. Wash the lemons thoroughly and dry them.2. Carefully peel two lemons, avoiding the white pith.
3. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar, then add the lemon peels.
4. Heat the mixture over medium heat for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
5. Add the lemon balm leaves and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
6. Squeeze the juice from the lemons and strain the cooled lemonade.
7. Stir in the lemon juice and sparkling water into the strained lemonade.
8. Bottle the drink and refrigerate until chilled before serving.
9. Serve with lemon slices and ice cubes. Enjoy cold!
