A delicious and healthy elderberry syrup that's perfect for family treat moments. This syrup can also be used to make gummy bears that everyone will enjoy. Preparation time is about 1 hour, and the recipe makes approximately 10 servings.Ingredients:
- 2 dl dried elderberries - 5 dl water
- 1 dl honey (or to taste)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
1. Boil the dried elderberries in water in a pot for about 30 minutes.2. Strain the berries, reserving the liquid.
3. Add honey and lemon juice to the strained liquid. Mix well until the honey dissolves.
4. Continue to boil the mixture for another 10-15 minutes until it thickens slightly.
5. Allow to cool and pour the syrup into a clean bottle. You can use the syrup as is or continue to make gummy bears.
