A hearty and nourishing lamb soup perfect for warming up on cold days. Full of flavor and nutrients, it's easy to prepare. Preparation Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 5 tbsp pearl barley
- 1 kg lean lamb meat
- 1.5 liters water
- 1 carrot
- 1 piece of celery
- A few slices of white cabbage
- 2 leeks
- ½ onion
Instructions:
1. Cut the lamb meat into cubes.
2. Heat the water in a large pot and add the lamb. Boil for about 1 hour until the meat is tender.
3. Peel and chop the carrot, celery, and onion. Add all the vegetables to the pot.
4. Add the pearl barley and white cabbage slices. Let the soup simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes until the barley is cooked.
5. Rinse and chop the leeks, then add them to the soup. Allow to simmer for another 10 minutes.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
