Savory Apple and Lamb Stuffed Breads

A delicious savory bread combining Nordic flavors of apple and lamb, perfect to pair with Cono Sur Bicicleta wines. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4-6 breads
Ingredients:
- 2 dl warm water - 25 g fresh yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 dl all-purpose flour
- 2 dl grated apple
- 200 g ground lamb
- 1 dl chopped onion
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions:
1. Warm the water to body temperature and dissolve the yeast in it. Add the sugar and salt.2. Gradually mix in the flour until the dough is smooth. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
3. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
4. Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion. Add the ground lamb, oregano, black pepper, and cook until done.
5. Finally, mix the grated apple into the meat and let it cool.
6. Roll out the risen dough into a sheet and cut it into suitable squares.
7. Place filling in the center of each square and fold the edges together to form the breads.
8. Place the breads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with egg, and let rise for another 10 minutes.
9. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for about 20-25 minutes until the breads are beautifully golden brown.
