Ingredients
- 200 g dark chocolate - 150 g butter
- 3 dl sugar
- 1 dl cocoa powder
- 4 eggs
- 2 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan. 2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
3. Add sugar and cocoa powder, and mix well.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Gently fold the dry mixture into the chocolate mixture.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes. The cake is done when it is still slightly moist in the center.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or top with chocolate frosting.
