A delightful homemade wine made with fresh Gamay grapes and a hint of banana, perfect for sharing with friends. Preparation time: 3 weeks (including fermentation and aging)
Serving size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 liter Gamay grapes
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon yeast
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions:
1. Wash and crush the Gamay grapes in a large bowl.
2. Add the ripe banana to the crushed grapes and mash it well.
3. In a saucepan, boil the water and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
4. Pour the cooled sugar water into the grape mixture and stir thoroughly.
5. Add the yeast and lemon juice. Mix again.
6. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it ferment at room temperature for about 5-7 days.
7. Once fermentation is complete, strain the mixture into a clean bottle.
8. Allow the wine to age in the refrigerator for at least 2 weeks before serving.
9. Serve the wine chilled and enjoy it in true Beaujolais Nouveau style!
