Ingredients:
- 1 kg pork roast - 2 onions
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 4-5 potatoes
- 2-3 carrots
- 1-2 dl water
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Herbs (e.g., rosemary or thyme)
- Butter or oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the onions, garlic, potatoes, and carrots. 2. Heat butter or oil in the Dutch oven and sear the pork roast until browned on all sides.
3. Add the chopped onions and garlic on top of the seared meat and sauté for a few minutes.
4. Place the chopped potatoes and carrots over the roast. Season with salt, black pepper, and herbs.
5. Pour the water into the Dutch oven to keep the dish moist during cooking.
6. Cover with a lid and transfer the Dutch oven to the oven. Cook at 150°C (300°F) for about 4-5 hours, until the meat is tender.
7. Serve warm, accompanied by a salad and bread.
