This delicious rum raisin cake combines juicy raisins with rich rum, making it perfect for a coffee table or dessert.

Ingredients:

- 200 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 100 g raisins
- 50 ml dark rum
- 100 ml cream

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly. Add the sugar and mix well.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar. Gradually add this dry mixture to the butter mixture.
5. Stir in the raisins and dark rum.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
7. Bake in the oven for about 40-50 minutes, until the cake is golden brown and cooked through (check with a skewer).
8. Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, decorate the cake with whipped cream.
