Ingredients:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 liters oil (for frying)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Peel and wash the potatoes. Cut them into long strips.
2. Soak the potato strips in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
3. Dry the potatoes thoroughly with a paper towel.
4. Heat the oil in a deep pot or deep fryer to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
5. Fry the potatoes in small batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
6. Remove the fries from the oil and drain excess oil on paper towels.
7. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
